‘Doctor Who’ Showrunner Steven Moffat to step down

Doctor Who’s showrunner, Steven Moffat, will step down after the 10th season of the cult classic.

In an announcement made on the show’s official Twitter account, Broadchurch creator Chris Chibnall will takeover as showerunner.

Moffat came took over showerunner responsibilities in 2010, when we replaced Russell T. Davies.  During his time on Doctor Who, Moffat also wrote and exec produced the massively popular Sherlock.

The geeks here at GWK are sad to see Steven Moffat go but we’re excited to see what Chris Chibnall has to offer.  (If you haven’t checked out Broadchurch, definitely do it.  It features former-Doctor David Tennant – you won’t be disappointed.)
