Comedy icon Gene Wilder dies at 83

Legendary actor and comedian Gene Wilder, star of such films as “Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory,” “The Producers,” “Blazing Saddles,” and “Young Frankenstein” died Monday at his home in Stamford, Conn. He was 83.

His nephew Jordan Walker-Pearlman said he died of complications from Alzheimer’s disease, Variety is reporting.

The geeks have a special place in their hearts for Mr. Wilder and send their thoughts and prayers to his family and friends.
