Stranger Things get the Tangerine Dream Treatment

Tangerine Dream, The German electronic music collective founded in the late 60s, recently tipped their hats to the Duffer Brothers and their soundtrack to Stranger Things, by offering up a cover of the title track.

The score of Stranger Things reflects the style of Tangerine Dream, with its synth vibe and melodies.  According to Kyle Dixon, one of the composers for Stranger Things, Tangerine Dream was a source of inspiration for their take on the musical tone of the show.

Tangerine Dream lent their talents to several movie scores, including Legend and Firestarter.

Until season two rolls around with more great synth hits, why don’t you give Tangerine Dream’s Stranger Things homage a listen at the link found below.
