I’ll admit it. When it come to my musical prowess, I stink. I can fake it thanks to GarageBand, but now I don’t have to because, Sony scientists have dropped a track called “Daddy’s Car” that was composed by an A.I. system called Flow Machines.
And you know what? It’s pretty good.
I know we are heading in the direction of turning more and more of our lives over to computer control. I am not so worried about that anymore. Yeah, we are still trying to work out the kinks and moral issues with the autonomous cars, but it doesn’t seem like such a big deal now once you listen to the soft, mellow, almost Beatles-esque song about a boy, his mother and his Daddy’s car?
Wait. What? Did this song just get Oedipal? Huh.
Anyway, give the track a listen, and welcome to our new A.I. overlords!
