The CW’s DC superheros face-off against the Dominators

DC Entertainment and The CW have announced that the villain for the upcoming “Supergirl”, “The Flash”, “Arrow”, “Legends of Tomorrow” super four-part crossover event in December will be the alien race The Dominators.  I’m sure it will be *snicker* out-of-this-world.

Sorry about that. Executive producer Marc Guggenheim says:

“This year, for our mega ‘Arrowverse’ crossover, we’re taking inspiration from a DC crossover from the late 1980s known as Invasion!, which featured an alien race called the Dominators, who’d previously vexed the Legion of Super-Heroes. We’re using cutting edge prosthetics and computer effects to achieve a feature film-quality look which is faithful to Invasion! artist Todd McFarlane’s interpretation of the characters.”

The Dominators — or Dominion as the race was called — were extremely technologically advanced, skilled geneticists which lived in a very strict caste system where your place in society was determined by how big of a red circle was on your head. The Dominators were very interested in the genetic potential of the human race, especially in the metagene, which caused some humans to become super-powered metahumans.

Also in anticipation of their upcoming season premieres, The CW has released a scene for the awesome Fight Club.  If you haven’t checked out the last year, look it up on YouTube.  Unfortunately we can only post a clip of Superhero Fight Club 2.0 since the full scene is only on the CW app (which is not released in Canada yet… grrr) but you may be able to find it on YouTube or other places.

“The Flash” premieres on Tuesday, Oct. 4 at 8 p.m., “Arrow” premieres Wednesday, Oct. 5 at 8 p.m., “Supergirl” premieres Monday, Oct. 10 at 8 p.m. and “Legends of Tomorrow” premieres Thursday, Oct. 13 at 8 p.m. on The CW.
