After months of rumours, Amazon Prime Video has finally gone global. The streaming service is now available in more than 200 countries and territories.
This move puts it in direct competition with Netflix, which had its own global rollout earlier this year. As with Netflix, the service is not available in China.
Customers with Amazon Prime can use the service now, but new customers can try it out with a free seven-day trial. Customers can then sign up at an introductory price of USD $2.99 per month for the first six months.
Users can watch through the Amazon Prime Video app on Android, iOS and select LG and Samsung smart TVs; they can also watch the service on www.primevideo.com.
