“Rainbow Six Siege” goes free-to-play this weekend

Ubisoft made two big announcements today about it’s latest entry in the Tom Clancy “Rainbow Six” franchise – first, from Feb. 2 to 5, “Rainbow Six Siege” will be playable for free on PS4, Xbox One and PC; secondly, the game’s newest expansion “Operation Velvet Shell” will be out February 7th.

The expansion includes two new Operators and one map which are free to all players, while the characters will be for free to anyone with the Year Two season pass

For the free weekend, PlayStation Plus and Xbox Live Gold subscriptions will be required to play the game on consoles.
